When it comes to learning how to play music on piano you must learn the fundamentals like the keys, scales, fingering, and other techniques. You need to learn how to read notes and what they sound like. However, before you can read notes you need to learn how to find high and low notes and how each key sounds.
When learning how to play music on the piano the first thing you need to turn your attention to is the keyboard of your piano. You must understand the white and black keys on the keyboard. To help you understand the pitch of the sound each note has you should play notes to the right and play notes to your left.
You should listen to the pitch each key makes as you play notes to the right and play notes to the left. Practice hitting one key with a finger on your right and then hit another key with a finger on your left. This exercise will help get you familiar with the keyboard and it will help you to associate what you hear with your ears with what you play with each hand.
